About the AuthorXun-Lan Nguyễn (born in Dalat, Vietnam) is the author of Kitty Cat (1996) and The Sea and the Mulberry Field (2009). The Wonders of the Halcyon Land, another title, is expected in the future.
A wife, mother, and grandmother, she began life in the resort town of Dalat, Vietnam before departing to La Sorbonne in Paris, where she received her degree in English literature, followed by a move to California to earn a Ph.D. in English from UCLA. Mrs. Nguyễn lives in Maryland and continues to pursue, through writing, her concern for the human condition.
