About the Author
David Hilario is a seasoned optician and Marine veteran, who first discovered his passion for the eye professional field through his father, who was also an optician for over thirty years. In his free time, David enjoys training for marathons in support of local charities such as military veterans and their families, fishing (his own version of therapy), or spending time with his wife and stepson. In 2024, David was elected to serve as President for the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the Certified Opticians Association of Texas. He hopes that his influence not only helps to serve the optical industry but helps to develop better leaders in other industries as well.
