Voiceless was written for those who struggle in life, feeling hopeless, abandoned, and unfulfilled. This book is intended to provide an outlet for those who feel as if no one understands their pain or suffering. After reading Voiceless, readers will be empowered to discover their purpose, live their dream, and to change the world around them by investing in their God-given gifts.

The book is expected to connect with teenagers and young adults who may have lived in harsh living conditions such as extreme poverty while trying to survive their childhood. Those who feel as if they grew up without a voice or any control over their life will feel especially close to the story. It was written to serve as an outlet for those individuals struggling with sadness and depression in solitude with no one to turn to. Readers who may have experienced bullying and harassment for their shortcomings in life will sense a strong connection with the book.

The author’s hope is that readers who may be dealing with difficult outcomes in life can use this book and future books to connect with the storylines and find the empowerment needed to be victorious in their own lives.

About the Authors

Born into a family of three brothers and three sisters, Mathias Wallace, the son of Ida Mae Morris and Keith Wallace, was the fifth born of his siblings. Wallace realized, as a poor child in a broken home surrounded by the evil and negativity of the world, that he needed something to ground him. The acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior was the turning point of his life. The empowerment, unconditional love, and stability of his faith enabled him to repel the darkness of the world and prevent the temptations from immersing his family deeper into the cursed lifestyle. Destined to break the chains of despair which had burdened his family for generations, Mathias accepted the challenge to be a beacon of hope and a living testimony to inspire others by leading as an example.

Mathias paved the way for his younger siblings by excelling in his academic studies, volunteering in his community, mentoring his peers and youth, thriving in sports, working to assist in paying bills, and growing stronger in his faith. Mathias became the first in his family to graduate high school as the valedictorian with a 4.0 grade point average and over 12 scholarship offers to various colleges. Mathias graduated from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Forestry. He was also awarded the Top Scholar for the College of Agricultural, Life, and Natural Sciences.

Mathias currently works as a regional program specialist with the United States Forest Service.
