Under The Mulberry Tree

By Carmella Roy Kearsley
Regular price $15.00

In the process of getting a family and its history onto paper, Carmella Roy Kearsleys poetic memoirs begin in Depression-era America, then hover nostalgically around an idyllic family farm, travel through an urban Pittsburgh, and fly away as far as the Middle East. Her poems and short stories range from amused and amusing love-filled recollections of domesticity to disturbing, even haunting forays into the dark and hidden places of family life. With the unremitting ring of truth throughout, these poems and short stories will reveal and celebrate places, times, and a quintessentially American life and family.
