In The Young Phoenix, a young baby bird is nestled safely in its nest until the baby bird decides to venture out into the unknown. Out of the nest, the baby bird encounters scary, dark creatures that the baby bird must fight in order to come back home. The baby bird fights and fights until it sees the light, finally reaching the night and meeting an incredible, legendary creature of light. 

The Young Phoenix is a powerful reminder that no matter what happens in the this world, no matter how alone we may feel, we are never truly alone, and any darkness can be overcome if we just hold onto the light

About the Author

Katherine Villalobos has received her Master's in Psychology and will continue furthering her education. She is pursuing her doctorate degree in counseling psychology to help those who struggle with life altering events. She wrote this book to show kids and adults that there is always a way to rise above the darkness and they are never alone.
