Loss and bereavement are universal, but in The Hopes and Dreams for Many Tomorrows, Cynthia Weathers (CWSG) shows us just how personal and individual they can be. These poems and prose poems are about how the author dealt with the loss of her beloved husband and how she was enabled to control her emotions in difficult situations. The subjects here are loss, love, emotions, causes and aftermaths, and finding something to hold on to. Additionally, The Hopes and Dreams for Many Tomorrows presents a group of poems about the loss and bereavement felt by all Americans in the wake of the terrorist destruction of the World Trade Center, September 11, 2001. Loss and bereavement are indeed universal, and Cynthia Weathers (CWSG) speaks for us all.
