Temple Mason wants nothing to do with authority.  A rebellious freethinker driven by a thirst for adventure, she joins the most irresponsible crew she can find, hoping to chase excitement and freedom across the seas. But after ten years of dead ends and disappointment, Temple is ready to leave it all behind—until she and her friends stumble upon a hidden alien spaceship that hurls them into the far reaches of space.

Caught in a galactic war involving cyborgs, zombies,  Area 51, and a rogue AI bent on domination, Temple is forced to confront everything she thought she stood against. As battles rage and loyalties shift, she begins an unexpected transformation from anarchist drifter to a reluctant leader in an epic interstellar fight.  The Flight of the Star Fire I is a thrilling sci-fi adventure that explores leadership, identity, and the hard-won wisdom that comes from facing chaos head-on.
