About the Author

Marilyn Basehoar wrote her weekly newspaper column for Hanover Evening Sun from 1995 to 2002, sharing stories inspired by life in her hometown of Littlestown, Pennsylvania. During that time, she and her husband were busy raising two sons, celebrating the joy of two granddaughters, working, and traveling together in their camper to Florida.

After her husband’s passing, Marilyn moved to Reading, Pennsylvania, to be closer to her family. Now retired, she has returned to her first love—art—continuing to create and explore her many talents. A lifelong crafter, sewer, nature enthusiast, and avid reader, Marilyn approaches life with humor and heart, never taking herself too seriously.
