Situation Tactical
Situation Tactical is the World War II memoir of a field artillery officer in his direct support battalions and in infantry support battalions during combat with the 100th Infantry Division in the European Theater of Operations during the winter of 1944-45. This detailed account of the campaigns in the Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, and Central Europe was originally written in the year following V-E Day and annotated in 2002. Martin H. Curtis shares the results of exhaustive research done at the National Archives and the US Military History Institute, examining the history, geography, culture, and effects of war at the locations of the operations in which he served. His personal recollections and insights offer a firsthand experience of combat and the life of the military personnel at this time. Situation Tactical is a valuable resource of knowledge for those who have not experienced war.
