About the Author

Kathryn was involved with livestock judging contests, in horse shows riding western equitation and pleasure, barrel racing in Rodeo and Gymkhana. In High School she was one of fourteen girls to help women become members of the Future Farmers of America.

In college she taught horseback riding and was a member of California Young Farmers. Her Jr. and Sr. years were at the University of Wyoming. Where she graduated with a BS degree in Animal Science.
