Kittens are playful, curious, and adventurous. And although they learn as they play, sometimes their curiosity and adventurous spirit can land them in trouble! Meet Pushie, a kitten-cat whos not quite a cat yet, as he discovers his environment and learns some valuable lessons about himself. In Pushie the Kitten-Cat, his first adventure is conquering the art of climbing stairs. A whole new world is opened up to him at the top of the stairs, and Pushie begins to explore his home and, in particular, his owner's room. In Timmy's room, Pushie finds places to hide, things to play with, and eventually, when Timmy comes home from school, someone who loves him very much! Later that night, Pushie the Kitten-Cats story takes an unexpected turn as he sneaks out the door and encounters a frog in the woods. Pushie wants to play, but the frog hops away, going deeper and deeper into the woods. Being a curious and fearless kitten-cat, Pushie naturally follows and soon becomes lost. Yet another twist in the story is taken when, as Pushie tries to find his way home, he comes across an unusual object in the woods which looks like a humongous saucer of milk. Pushie climbs aboard and settles down for a nap, only to awaken and find himself some place he never expected to go! What is this huge saucer-like object, and where has it taken him? Will Pushie ever find his way home, and how? Join him on his adventures as author Frances Burghardt takes Pushie the Kitten-Cat where no cat has ever gone before.
