About the Author

Nick Maggiore received his undergraduate degree from St. Francis University in Loretto, PA, and completed his graduate studies at Indiana University of PA and the Pennsylvania State University. While at St. Francis, he participated in the founding and coaching of the SFC club football program, which grew into today’s D1, NEC NCAA program. He was a secondary teacher and coach, as well as having attained pilot ratings and certificates through commercial certification. He flew professionally and sponsored the Aviation Club while teaching. He is an active member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association; the Orlando, FL, American Legion Post 0400; and a former member of the PSEA, the NEA, and the AFT prior to his retirement. Maggiore is a father of two and a grandfather of three.
