This book is the perspective view of a young boy who grew up in the Islamic revolution of 1978 and how he was able to cope with violence and fear brought by the new regime. He and his family ended up escaping from Iran and ended up as refugees in Italy.

What makes it interesting is that not many people know what the Islamic revolution was about, why it happened, and the aftermath of its impact in the rest of the world. This book tells the story from beginning of the Islamic revolution and the tragedies that followed.

The message in this book is relevant to what is happening now with Iran being the #1 financial supporter of Hamas and other terrorist groups.

This book is unique because there have not been any other books that details the struggles of the Iranian people in Iran and millions that successfully escaped.

My main goal is for this book to be the voice of so many young boys who died by sacrificing their lives for salvation.

Entertaining and Significant

This book is about Iran before and after the 1979 Revolution after which Islamist extremists took over, but it is also about a boy at that time. That is what makes it so special. The author has a fantastic memory and a narrative voice from his perspective as a child.

Most importantly, it does not shy away from the realities of the cruelty of life (and death) under the Islamic Regime. It opens a window into how children are taught is countries that have been taken over by such extremism, but the story is so hopeful at the same time.

This story is especially important today when so many people are unaware, sometimes even supporting, such oppressive regimes. It gives the reader an understanding of how such a change could happen and what it can mean.

Excellent book

This is an excellent book. It is not often that we hear of the Islamic Revolution in Iran from the perspective of a young boy who happened to grow up there during that time. It is fascinating.
