Thanksgiving 2010, and Pastor Sam will tell the greatest story ever told. A story of a child born to save the world, and his name is Jesus. The first time he told his version was in the summer of 1981 to a young man named Uri. Pastor Sam has gifts—he is known as the “Pastor of poems.” One other gift he memorized the twenty-seven books of the New Testament.

Pastor Sam is just a storyteller—he tells the story like no other. His love for God was instilled by the “Domestic Church.” It all starts with the family. When Samuel was born—his father took the mother’s tear of joy, made the sign of the cross on Samuel’s forehead, and said, “In the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—I bless my son.” His father’s three friends visited on Christmas of 1950, giving him three gifts, and Eli prayed for Samuel to have the gift of words. Pastor Sam’s mission is, “I want you to join me and serve God—we are called to serve God.” Open the pages of the gospels and read God’s holy word—written by holy men: Matthew—Mark—Luke—John.

About the Author

Miguel De La Cruz is the author and the storyteller of the book His Name is Jesus. Faith is handed down by the faithful—stories from the living word from the Lord—in honor of sacred tradition—Miguel tells his version. The Holy Spirit graced him to use the four gospels, and he brings continuity to tell one story. Miguel’s faith is guided by the teachings of others, so now, he shares what was taught to him, passing it on to others. Miguel is humbled to share what the Holy Spirit gave him—this version written to share with the world. From this generation to the next, let us proclaim the name of Jesus. The Son of the Father, who died for our sins. May the peace of the Lord be with you.
