Healing the Fractures: The Journey to Wholeness is the account of a woman so sadistically tortured from infancy into adulthood that she had no fully functional personality. She had many fragments, none of whom knew of the others. Therapist/author Andrea Fuller faced the challenge of identifying the cause of her erratic behavior, developing trust so that each personality would reveal themselves, and finding a way for them to meet and cooperate with one another.

This book enters into the world of the multiple to tell the story from her perspective. We also all face challenges in life, and we all have the metaphorical Dark and Light sides, but no matter how severe the challenges life may bring, there is always hope. We do not have to be victims of circumstances. We can be triumphant.

I cried in the best way

As someone who suffered through abuse for a good portion of my early life, coming to terms with it while trying to become a functioning adult has been nothing short of a challenge. Finding this book has really helped me in my journey and I am so thankful to the author for writing this book. Unfortunately, myself and the author are not alone in this, and I would recommend this book to anyone who needs to do some inner healing.

Intriguing and fascinating to say the least!

As a retired psychotherapist myself, I highly recommend this book to both the client and the therapist. This book is a fascinating look at the pivotal relationship that develops between the author (the psychotherapist) and her client. The connection and the caring relationship between them is often gut-wrenching, however it is what allows this severely abused client to succeed. This book demonstrates how important that connection, that relationship is, to the success of psychotherapy. It is a great learning guide and tool for the new, as well as a seasoned therapist. The author describes in heavy detail the trials and tribulations of what it was like for her to work with a Dissociative Identity client, who was not only a survivor of sexual abuse, but also a survivor of the wickedness and cruelty of the occult. It explores the heavy, overwhelming and often frustrating emotions of the therapist and should be a training guide for all future psychotherapist. This book is both beneficial for the Dissociative Identity client as well as for the therapist, as it gives hope that life is worth living after severe abuse. You can not only survive, but thrive!
