Father: Book One
Father: Book One follows the extraordinary journey of a twelve-year-old boy whose life is forever changed after a devastating accident. Awakening from a sixty-day coma, he begins to exhibit strange and remarkable abilities, rapidly developing into a prodigy. By age twelve, he enters medical school; by fourteen, he graduates; and by sixteen, he is already practicing as a surgeon.
His life takes an unexpected turn when he is contacted by an alien race on the brink of extinction, pleading for his help. He travels to their world only to discover a devastating truth: he has been used as a subject in a cruel experiment. Subjected to brutal torture and unimaginable suffering, he is pushed beyond the limits of human endurance.
From this pain, a new version of himself emerges stronger, transformed, and unbreakable. Through relentless trials, he rises to unite three distinct races, each facing extinction, forging an unlikely path toward survival. In enduring profound hardship and demonstrating extraordinary resilience, he earns a title that reflects both his strength and sacrifice: Father.
Blending science fiction, fantasy, and elements of love and devotion, this story explores the limits of human potential, the power of perseverance, and the bonds that sustain us through even the darkest trials.
About the Author
Rev. Charles W. Beck is sixty-four years old and previously worked as a truck driver in the gas and oil industry for over a decade. His career came to an abrupt end following a major heart attack suffered after working in extreme conditions on a Pennsylvania fracking site, which led to quadruple bypass surgery.
During his recovery, Beck spent long hours reflecting on life, often sitting quietly on his back porch. It was during this time that his imagination began to flourish, giving rise to the story of Father. Through his writing, he hopes to show what a young boy can achieve through determination, resilience, and the powerful force of love and devotion.
