At age ninety-one, I have lived several lives: child, teen, job holder, wife, mother, and grandmother. They are all here in my stories, which include two characters who live interesting lives. Barbara Sharnik was born in Friend, Nebraska, but has lived for 60-odd years in Connecticut. Nevertheless, she still feels like a Midwesterner. Previously published in various magazines, she used the free time she has in an assisted-living community to write Every Life Is a Story.
