About the Author:

Dr. Sherman Cottingham is a winner of many baseball games, and played with the great Leroy Satchel Paige. He fulfilled a profession in education for thirty-five years and is the author of Destiny: A Matter of Choice Not Chance. Cottingham was most recently recognized by Robert D. Manfred, Commissioner of Major League Baseball in a Tribute to the Negro Leagues in Birmingham, Alabama. Cottingham also taught at Wayne State University as an adjunct professor while serving in the capacity of labor relations consultant throughout the state of Michigan. He is a lover of golf and will beat you up if you give him a few strokes.
