This book is intended as a teaching guide for Catholic/Christian clergy/catechists and an individual study guide for those contemplating sacramental Christian marriage. It is also a 'help' guide for those struggling with difficulties in their current marriages.

The work is also a guide for those with an interest in upholding the concept of a free, faithful, fruitful, and forever commitment between one man and one woman in an era where communal commitments between parties are becoming more widely defined and formalized by civil laws, and the engagement into such relationships has dropped below 50% of the population.

Engaging in this work, the readers will explore the concept of life-long relationship of marriage as a sacramental life of service, and find support for continuing that commitment through difficulties and successes that naturally challenge and cement such commitments.

A Three-Ply Cord - Making and Keeping Covenant Marriage

This book combines solid Catholic Theology with sound practical advice for the engaged, the newly married, or the married couples who want to firm up their commitment to each other. The book is more than a discussion of Catholic or Marriage “topics”; it is also a, “come with me” guidebook for couples who want to enter more deeply into the marriage vocation as a mode of life that leads to eternal life.
The author wonderfully guides the reader through a process of reflection that takes into account the way married people live in a practical way, and then points out the relevance of the abundant testimony of God in Scripture and tradition that can aid us in the joys and struggles of the married life.
The book functions as a “Lectio Divina” for the people in the married state, and especially for people who are preparing for the married state. Specific passages from the Bible are presented for personal and inter-personal reflection and conversation.
