A Single Parent's Guide to a Holiday Table for One
This book is a discussion of how to be alone, eat alone, and this experience for single parents, especially on holidays. Ms. Johnson suggests using agenda items during holiday meals or any time alone. Single parents are encouraged to use the time as a resource, to plan life’s next steps in comfort, and to design all possible ways to succeed and be happy.
About the Author
Ms. Johnson is an African-American native of Colorado. She is a single mother of two daughters and a grandmother to four grandchildren. She spent thirty years in state government focusing on projects that support low socio-economic populations.
Ms. Johnson currently works in the community as a Life Skills Instructor for single parents in transitional housing. She shares messages with other single parents, celebrates with them, and reminds them of how powerful and successful they are. She hopes that, by focusing on the single parent as the key individual in the parenting experience, many will be inspired to continue building great lives.
