A COMPELLING READ

Dollycas's ThoughtsWynstan Ashbelle inherited the Ashbelle Company from his father. That inheritance means more than just running the business, it also means taking care of the small town of Ashbelle. Most of the residents work for the company so the family has always felt responsible for the town as well. The school, the police force, etc. were all overseen by Wynstan. Anyone in a position of power was put there by him and is loyal to him. When Wynstan is killed, Sean, the eldest son takes over and he doesn't have the same feelings about the town or the company as his predecessors. The power goes straight to his head and he feels he can do anything he wants without any repercussions.Sadly, William, his younger brother is tormented by the actions his brother is taking. His mindset was the same as his father's. Can he save the company and the town? Or will his brother destroy his family's legacy and all the work they have done?___I easily escape right into this book.Set in 1934, The Heir starts out strong and doesn't let up until the final page. It's good vs. evil, and the evil is out of control. Power and greed feed the eldest son, and the younger son tries valiantly to get through to his brother about the huge mistakes he is making. Sean is wicked and cruel. My heart broke for the people he hurt and yes, killed. William is a good man with a good heart, but he is up against a man who is mentally deranged and violently dangerous.Mr. Qualio weaves a thrilling tale with twists and turns. It's a gritty, chilling story and at times it was hard to read but I needed to know what was going to happen next. The Heir was a compelling read that I could not put down. Drama, greed, power, revenge, and justice, this story has it in spades. I highly recommend it!

Intriguing read

The Heir is a story of greed, drama and revenge. This thriller tells the story of two brothers and their fight for power, money and justice. The older brother takes control of the family business after the suspicious death of the father and in doing this, he becomes the most powerful man in town. The younger brother makes it his duty to stop his brother and his actions, and tries to save the company and the city from him and his tyrannical greed. The author uses his skills as a storyteller to take such topics as human behaviour and personal relationships and turns this well-written and fast-moving story into a thrilling narrative with the most unusual twists and turns. It is impossible to stop reading without wondering what will happen next. I enjoyed this book very much and hope to read more from Aaron Qualio.

An unputdownable novel

"The heir" caught my attention and I decided to read it. This entertaining and compelling story was written by Aaron Qualio. As the title implies, the plot revolves around a mean and careless man who heirs a millionaire company. He decides to squander his fortune in whatever he desires. But the man's younger brother appears to save the family company and their village from him.As one teacher once told me, "there is nothing new under the sun"; in this story, you can visualize how much damage greed can cause to people. It's an absorbing story that touches both, sad and hopeful themes. Luckily, in a world with mean people, there are also nice people. I truly loved the characters' portrayal, they are crafty! Apart from that, the writing style is neat and clear. In short, I recommend it.
