Her citizens are familiar with pandemic procedures—lockdowns, vaccines, masking. Now a new vaccine, Ultravax, is now being released to combat any future outbreaks, and with the emergence of AI technology, each department of the national government is monitored by its very own AI quantum computer.
There are now two unpredictable threats on the horizon with the emergence of all the new tech. Genius computer scientist James Lampton is on a mission to converge all of the AI systems into one, with unknown and potentially disastrous consequences. As a team is pulled together to stop his attempts, they find an unexpected and dangerous threat awaiting them as civilians and military alike succumb to a disease rendering them into flesh-eating monstrosities. With the aid of James’s previous student Dr. Janelle Young to attempt to stop the convergence, the team will need to combat the growing Zek threat along with a race against time to stop James and a world-changing convergence.
About the Author:
Phillip A. Beverly is a retired university professor and administrator currently working in the Chicago Police Department, the second-largest police force in the United States. With a background in Krav Maga, he enjoys watching sports, discussing politics, and engaging in men's work around the world. He is also involved in prison work and supports the formerly incarcerated. Phillip and his wife have five grown children—three sons and two daughters—and one grandson. He served in the U.S. Air Force for five years before transitioning to a career in academia. A proud alumnus of Arizona State University, he is passionate about recognizing those who serve and the sacrifices they make. In addition to his professional pursuits, Phillip is a self-proclaimed science and technology enthusiast.
