Joy is often found in the simplest of moments. The Heart of the Matter, a collection of inspirational poetry by Gloria DaCruz, shares this message.

Seeking to uplift, inspire, and encourage, this work radiates the happiness there is to be found in lifeand particularly a life that is dedicated to God.

After raising four sons as a single, divorced mother, DaCruz wanted to share what she learned about life. The trials she faced made her a stronger person, and she wants others to know nothing is ever hopeless. There is always a brighter day.

About the Author

Gloria DaCruz lives in Brooklyn, New York, where she works as an administrative secretary for the Human Resources Administration of the City of New York. She has raised four sons: Ronald, Kimron, Kareem, and Ahmed. A former longtime member of the Little Rock Baptist Church, she has now been a faithful member of the Pilgrim Church of Brownsville for over eighteen years.

She has also created a line of inspirational greeting cards called Teehillah Creations and written four screenplays: Restored by God, Will a Man Rob God, Gods Plan for the Ghetto Girl, and Strong Holds.
