God's Plan In The Life Of Man

By Charlotte Rebecca Snapp
Regular price $17.00

Spanning both the Old and New Testaments, Gods Plan in the Life of Man employs a cleverly rhyming pentameter in an epic poem format to relate the stories of men and women who experienced the same joys, sorrows, and trials as we experience today. Throughout the poetry, however, is the subtle lesson that an unwavering faith in God, an absolute trust that He knows what is best for us, will lead us to have fulfilled and victorious lives. We meet both major and minor players in the Bible: Jesus and his apostles, Moses and John the Baptist, Vashti, Athaliah, and Haman. Some stories are familiar, such as The Giant Slayer, Samson and Delilah, and The Prodigal Son. Others may not be as familiar, such as The Shunamite Woman, The Vision, and Nabals Refusal. Referencing the particular book and verse of the Bible for each, we may read the words ourselves, furthering our knowledge of Gods love, mercy, and compassion.
