Cypress: Book 1 chronicles the struggles of a multiethnic family in the Deep South in 2022. The family, led by a golden years couple who rescued their daughter in a blaze of gunfire from a refugee camp in Sierra Leone back in 1985, is now faced with a force bent on destroying everything they hold dear. The patriarch, a former soldier who served valiantly in Vietnam, has pastored a thriving church for nearly fifty years. He is inspirational in his sage leadership for an entire community of believers.
Finding themselves fighting neo-Nazis and the hatred they spew, the family must rely on the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for guidance, strength, and bravery. Will they survive this season of trouble? Does the Holy Spirit really guide those who seek and follow his guidance?
Cypress: Book 1 is a fast-paced Christian action-adventure story set in fictional Cypress Parish, Louisiana. God first, family a very close second, and then everything else are the words this family lives by as they face extraordinary joys and heartbreaking tragedies.
About the Author
Robby Lowe is a retired school superintendent, high school principal, English teacher, football coach, softball coach, track coach, bus driver, and janitor.
