A Mess Age in a Bottle
A Mess Age in a Bottle is the story of a pregnant young woman, Reina, undergoing life-threatening, crippling events that leave her in a long debate with her concept of God and the world. As she grapples with the loss of her children by the courts, the COVID-19 quarantine of 2020, and her life in the hands of the government, Reina begins to debate her own beliefs, questioning her upbringing and reflecting on her past trauma. Her story is an insight into a second-generation, mixed Latino American home as told through a series of journal entries.
About the Author
Thatz Scribble Scrabble is an inventive female artist and a mother of three. She struggled a lot in life to find herself among her own struggles with identity due to abuse. She has had some involvement with Becky’s Fund Foundation, contributing as a public speaker against domestic violence in the heart of DC. Thatz Scribble Scrabble has helped families of single mothers in need overseas in South America and the Dominican Republic and has been involved in her community, fighting against female depression by extending her time volunteering to walk with battered women, pushing them to continue to keep moving forward. She was a social media bodybuilding icon with a moment of fame where she was able to empower women to reach their health goals and doing model shoots with Joselo Photography. She enjoys singing her soul out in karaoke bars and loves watching the bar light up and chant back.
