A Treasury Of Modern Mother Goose Rhymes
Creating a whimsical yet topsy-turvy world for favorite nursery rhyme characters, Lillian Rose Jensen has brought the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe into the twenty-first century in A Treasury of Modern Mother Goose Rhymes. Now that same Old Woman has the most modern of conveniences, giving her numerous children something to do, and giving her more leisure time in which she can enjoy such activities as talking on the phone, watching television, and traveling in cars, airplanes, and submarines. A fan of poetry and tongue twisters, Ms. Jensen took a friends advice to write nursery rhymes, but turn the ideas around and her talent for writing shines through an updated version of the world of Mother Goose and her nursery rhyme friends.
