About the Author

Denise Maltay is a native of Guyana, currently an American citizen living in New York. She is a literary specialist for the New York Board of Education and has a B.A. from Medgar Evers College, Brooklyn N.Y. and an M.A. in English Language from Cambridge University Massachusetts U.S.A. Denise is the mother of two children, Ronald and Allysa. She is a senior lecturer in the Department of Curriculum and Instructions in the School of Education and Humanities. University of Guyana S.A. Maltay is a member of the Womens Guild of St. Andrews Kirk Guyana S. A. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, creative writing, and travelling.
