The Day the Moon Came Out Too Soon

Book cover type

The idea that the dark spots on the moon resemble a rabbit is centuries old and stems from Asian cultures. However, have you ever noticed that the moon and the sun are out in the daytime at the same time quite often?

This is the story of how the moon came out too soon and how he tries to remedy the problem.

The story takes place in Maine with many of the forest and sea animals you'd find in our beautiful state. The artwork is completely done by a student of mine, Makenna Johnson, who is a junior at Stearns Junior-Senior High School in Millinocket, Maine.
