Every night Lorinda blinks her eyes and is whisked away to the middle of her paintings. From colouring the rainbow with her fairy friends to eating cheese sandwiches with the man in the moon, Lorinda explores the reaches of her imagination and takes you and your child along with her.

About the Author

Shirley Collins, from South Africa, found the inspiration for Lorinda in her grandchildren and their love of painting and drawing pictures.

My eldest granddaughter, on whom I based the book, has a great imagination, she says.
