Jackie Lucas-Buck and her husband, Andre, and baby son, Darius, live in Louisiana. She received her masters degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in June of 2001 from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. She received her bachelors degree in Nursing from Dilliard University of New Orleans, Louisiana sixteen years ago. She presently works with her brother and sister-in-law in their doctors office as a manager. After living in Chicago, Illinois for over ten years, she married Andre and moved south in April of 2001. She is very active in her local community and church. She is a breast-feeding educator and a CPR instructor. In her "spare time," she writes for a nursing magazine and loves to reminisce with her husband, family, and friends about the old days.
