About the Author

Erica Damerau grew up in a very creative and loving family life setting. Her grandmother was a writer as well, and Erica always used to listen to her tell her passages from her books, which is what started her love for writing. Erica’s mom loved to paint and over time Erica also grew to love painting. Now her dad, he was a metallurgist and he invented a new metal and, in time, published a book of his own.

Erica has always loved to be creative in many ways, such as writing, painting, drawing, and playing videogames but aside from all of that, as hard times come, she has always had such a soft spot for helping others in need as well as helping animals. Her family molded her into the person she has become today and when her father passed away in 2022, she knew it was time to prove that she could be the best she could—and just like they knew she could be.

Shauna Waterman grew up in an unstable home of abuse, writing poems and stories to block out trauma. She has six siblings, all of whom have passed except for her brother. She was married in 1969 to her husband, John Waterman, who passed in 2020. They have two children.

Shauna has worked many different jobs through life, mostly in nursing facilities. She continued writing her stories from the 1980s until early 2010s, when she couldn’t hold a pen to write or concentrate on her books any longer due to several medical issues.
