About the Author
Bob “Park” Parkison has been very involved in local, regional, and state level sports throughout most of his life. He has been a member of the Tunkhannock Kiwanis Club for more than fifty years. He has served in an administrative position with the Keystone State Games for more than twenty-six years. He was a high school sports official for twenty-six years, twenty-five of those years officiating for baseball, ten years in football and basketball, and he did “play-by-play” broadcasting football radio for twelve years. Parkison, now retired, was employed at Proctor and Gamble as a manager for twenty-six years and is also a United States Air Force Veteran. He is a founding member and served as secretary for the Wyoming County Fair since its inception in 1986. Parkison has been married to his lovely wife, Dorothy for more than sixty-one years. They have three children, nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
