Lord, Sometimes You Love Me Like A Man Who's Done Me Wrong

By Trudie Nash
Regular price $8.00

Inspired by the emotional turmoil of relationships with both the mortal and immortal, this collection by Trudie Nash is a slightly sensual look at interactions between men and women based loosely on the Songs of Solomon. By evoking a personal struggle with a God who sometimes seems distant and uncaring, she draws comparisons to the feelings aroused by a seemingly disinterested man. Many of the poems begin in the natural, and then revelation brings understanding and mortal takes on immortal.

A skillful combination of her strong faith with her love for writing, her words convey emotions of rejection and loneliness, but also those of absolute fulfillment and love. Interspersed with her tone of longing are verses of praise and an overall reflection of her faith, both in God and in love.
