Orphans: A Hollywood Dream Come True is the memoir of Shawn Patrick Bierns journey from a childhood, bouncing from orphanage to numerous and sometimes abusive foster homes to a home for disturbed children, to the fulfillment of his dream hairdresser to the stars. With his eye fixed on his goal and backed by the strength of his self-avowed Irish sense of humor even as he suffered the lifelong void of not knowing his father and mother Shawn persevered, always moving forward and staying positive. These factors he attributes not only to his success and longevity but to the success of all who stay strong in the face of adversity, ever focused on their dreams.

Shawn Patrick Biern was born in West Hartford, Connecticut, and presently resides in Rancho Mirage, California. An orphan at birth, Mr. Biern fought his way through much personal travail to become a hairstylist to the stars, affording him the fulfillment of his lifelong dream and many opportunities to see much of the world. When he is not working on his next story, he enjoys gardening.
