Nadia, distraught by the loss of her infant and another failing marriage, is struggling to find meaning in her life. Starting in California, she impulsively embarks on a dangerous journey of hitchhiking and walking across the great Mojave Desert in the summer, with no money and no provisions for survival. A native of California, Raven Emond received a B.A. in Psychology from Brooklyn University and a Master of Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, from Hunter College. She currently works as a social worker for an adult day care program in California. In her spare time, Raven enjoys drawing, writing, dancing, and gardening.(2011, paperback, 88 pages)
