About the Book

With fifteen delightful full-color illustrations, children and parents everywhere will see just how much fun a picnic can be, especially when all of the food starts with the letter P! ABOUT THE AUTHOR AND ILLUSTRATOR The author got her inspiration for this book from reading the Berenstain Bears and Dr. Seuss books to her children. Also as a hostess of many picnics herself, she wanted to convey the message that hard work brings about just rewards. She received a B.A. in English with a specialty in creative writing, a paralegal certificate and also completed part of an M.B.A. Shes worked in the legal field for twenty years, the last ten of which have been part-time so she could spend more time with her children. The illustrator has already illustrated three other books for a national publisher. She graduated with a bachelor of fine arts degree with emphasis in illustrating and painting, and was a high school art teacher for almost thirty years. When her niece (the author!) told her about the idea for a childrens book, she jumped on the bandwagon and here they are!
