Our hero, Nick Stihl, is a boxer turned P.I., trying to make a difference with all odds stacked against him. A world of violence, with grim dark humor trying to even things out. "Where there is money, there is evil. You might even be favored to win against Washington..."

If you cannot get enough of the 1930s detective fiction, and thought you read it all, Richard Olson has provided us with a novel that is worth picking up to read. You will not be disappointed. Usual beatings, blood around the mouth, drawn into a courtroom case and a conspiracy that weaves in and out of sexy damsels, and references of Humphrey Bogart and James Cagney on top. I don't want to give away much of the plot but this private eye has all the classic trademarks you expect -- and want -- in a detective novel. Wish there were more like this. Enjoy the adventures of Nick Stihl with this novel.
