Life has a way of changing when you least expect it.
Brooklyn Grant works as a successful building inspector, examining some of the city's most questionable residences to evaluate whether they can be saved or should be tom down. She is great at her job and has a reputation for being one of the city's best inspectors with one of the best personalities. With a big heart, she tried to balance her compassion for the tenants and the responsibilities of her job while she struggles with the distance she is to maintain from her career.
When assigned to a new building she thinks it will be the usual routine and is surprised to find herself face to face with a tall, handsome man with the most adorable son. Unfortunately, they live in a building Brook is supposed to inspect. One that is destined to fail. Little does Brook know how these two individuals will suddenly have great importance in her life and how invested she'll become in saving this building. With a failing relationship and a discovery that will change her entire future, Brook battles to uphold her personal like and still work to save the dilapidated building threatened with closure.
